If my secret place of refuge could be described in words it would be: warm, bright, quiet.
Many traditional Japanese architecture focuses on the harmony and balance between nature and man with its materials like wood and stone. The design is not loud but in minimal details and natural tones, the interior space begins to feel a part of nature. In a quiet place I can be reminded of those that are important to me and truth that grounds me.
