Christo & Jean Claude
An animated poster for the lovely Christo and Jeanne Claude. With their works originating from wrapping ordinary objects in tarp, saran wrap, etc, they are a big role model of mine because they renewed the curiosity in the mundane.

To think like the Claudes I created like the Claudes
Before going into my sketches, I started off by wrapping some of my very own household objects! I did not have enough saran wrap for wrapping a whole chair but to start thinking like the Claudes I studied the interesting variations of wrapping methods and looks!

Research + Ideas
Taking inspiration from different kinds of Claude works, a variety of iterations were made. The third idea felt like the strongest at the time but the client chose the first one - a lovely unexpected turn.

3D Tests
Tactile --> Digital
Although the tactile experiments were fun, due to lack of resources, the process shifted into C4D. Playing with cloth simulations and making some early tests. Attempted to convince the client with a test of the alternative idea but we move on with the big bold type!!
