Ringling's biggest foe: Tussock Moth Caterpillar.
Research
Tussock Moth Caterpillars are an invasive species on our lovely Sarasota Ringling campus. They causes rashes and immense stress when in direct contact with the skin.
Yup, that's our bench covered in caterpillars
CONCEPT
Inspired by Pwnisher's 3D challenge: Ultimate Boss Fight. In the Ringling world, we don't fight robots or aliens. We fight bionic caterpillars that invade our campus.

DEVELOPMENT
Modelling and Texturing
All done by hand, I challenged myself to model and texture every asset on my own using Octane.
I learned to create procedural rocks, fell in love with subsurface scattering materials, and realized sculpting in 3D is the same as clay!
The environment was inspired by our school but a exaggerated dust bowl version of our cute campus :)
